SOMERTON SQUASH COURTS

Located at 11 Moore Street, Somerton Park, Somerton Squash Centre is host to 6 Squash courts and a Boutique Gym and Fitness area.

Under new management as of January 2021 we have been upgrading facilities. We’ve built a bar, a beer garden, a gym, and have a big screen TV to watch your favourite sports.

We are currently rebuilding the Sauna and adding in a day spa.

Walk ins are welcome during our opening hours and we have a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

We cater to everyone.

with 6 court’s we are Adelaide’s biggest squash centre.

Beginners: Someone on staff can give some pointers, or lessons depending what you’re after.

Families & Kids: We are a family run business with young kids of our own, and welcome families. There are kids rackets, and even bouncy sponge balls for the really little ones to get used to hitting a ball. Qualified coaches are here to give tips and advice if needed.

Fitness: No sport is better for getting fit. Squash uses the 7 core components of fitness of , speed, power, agility, flexibility, strength, muscular endurance and cardiovascular endurance. An hour playing squash is better than any cross fit. It’s fun, you have a laugh and you don’t even realise how fit you’re getting.

Friends: Many people come in groups of 3 or 4 with their mates. They book a couple courts and take turns playing each other. For them it’s about the social side and working up a sweat to earn their beer after.

JUNIOR COACHING

We have a junior coaching program on Sunday mornings from 9:30am to 10:30am. This will be group coaching to keep the costs down, run by highly qualified coaches.

We also have Thursday junior coaching 5pm-6pm

Junior coachins is aimed at 8 to 16 year olds

Went there for he first time today, my partner and I have never played squash or racquetball, but we thought this would be a fun and dynamic was to get fit and relax. We booked ahead and just rocked up today. Michael was was lovely, explained the rules of the game, gave us a tour of the place. Equipment was all provided. We had loads of fun for the hour and the whole place has a great, relaxed feel. We will definitely be back!

Brilliant facilities and setup. Always a helpful bit of advice for beginners and have made us really enjoy squash, highly recommend at least visiting once to try it out, Wednesday socials are great also.

I have been taking My 9 year old son to Somerton Squash Club for several months to their junior program on Sunday mornings. The coaches are welcoming and knowledgeable. Michael is building the next generation of squash players to keep squash alive. It’s an amazing sport that combines all the elements of high performance exercise. Most importantly Toby loves it looks forward to it and - stays off a screen! I highly recommend Somerton Squash Club for juniors and Adults alike.

Been coming to somerton squash for a long time now with a good group of social players. The owner michael is always a top notch host and has garnered a great culture for squash and racquetball at the club. The venue has bar facilities, a viewing deck and an outdoor area for summer days. Perfect for a group activity or a hit week to week.

Started social squash just over a month ago and I cannot get enough! Michael and Kym who run it are extremely friendly and helpful. A really great bunch of people who you can play no matter if you’re advanced or a beginner!

First time visitor, first time member! I'd seen the website for Somerton Squash, and having played badminton a long time ago, I was keen to continue racket sports. Being a shift worker the membership flexibility suited me, as I could come and go as I pleased. With squash you don't need a partner and coming down here I can play squash on my own, work up a sweat and bash out any frustrations. Loving seeing the renovations progress, the beer garden and upstairs entertaining area looks a treat. Well done Somerton Squash!

We came down when our usual squash centre was shut. We chatted with Michael, he's very passionate about squash in Adelaide, and showed us through the renovations. The place still has some work to be done, but the bits that are renovated look amazing. there is a great vibe, a good community feeling and that old school community feel that doesn't seem to exist in many places. We felt completely welcome and at home there right from the start. How could I not leave such a great review for Adelaide's best squash centre! Keep up the great work Michael.

Loving the renovations to the place - the bar is a fantastic new addition as will be the beer garden in the summer months. Courts 1 & 2 looking fantastic with the floorboards and the plasterwork. A super friendly place to play squash and proud to call it my club.
